Cafeteria and Cafe

A private catering company, KFN, is contracted by PSI and monitored by a Food Committee consisting of parents and teachers, with input from students. The cafeteria provides nutritious, child-oriented international meals. The use of the cafeteria is optional. Parents are welcome to provide students with a homemade, healthy lunch. We also enjoy the modern We Belong Cafe, with flexible meeting spaces, available to the whole PSI community throughout the day.

Letter to the PSI Community

Dear PSI Community:

It is our absolute pleasure to be the provider for the catering services at your school. We are KFN Catering and have been operating in Ukraine for 16 years. My name is Claudia Mejia, and I am the manager of KFN Catering. I have a Master of Science (MS) degree in Immunology. KFN specifically caters to schools, and therefore has become one of the leading companies with the most experience in this field within all of Ukraine.

Our mission is to deliver fresh, nutritious, and quality food made for hundreds, that looks and tastes like it's made just for you! We will make sure to provide healthy meals and light snacks daily in the Cafeteria and We Belong Cafe, in a pleasant and clean environment, in order to help patrons prepare for their daily challenges during and after school. As we all know, we are only as good as our last meal! So we focus on several key areas:

During preparation and service of the food items, we will take utmost care in hygienic processes.
Providing you with a good balance of different nutritious and quality products is a priority to us.
Our menu and food selection are specifically geared to meet the nutritional needs of children and schools.
At the We Belong Café, we will provide patrons with a healthy choice of fresh quality snacks and drinks every day in a pleasant environment where they can eat, discuss, study, work and relax.

Cafeteria Payment System

The Cafeteria and We Belong Café will remain cashless to all PSI community members. When it comes to payment, we want to make sure you can find the most suitable option, including the following:

● Yearly prepaid plans (this comes with a discount)

● Monthly prepaid plan

● Payment on the day method

Charging your smart card with UAH cash can be done directly at the kiosk machine in the main PSI reception or outside the cafeteria. We also have a bank transfer system for payments in order to support families.

Main course: meat (poultry, beef, fish, pork or vegetarian)
Garnish (rice, potatoes, buckwheat or pasta)
Salad or vegetables, bread, dessert and a drink
Customers have the option to mix and match the different items in the daily full lunch menu (buffet style)
With this plan, you can have seconds if you are still hungry

Single Items Menu

This option is for single lunch items and is only available for payment on the day.

Available for Grade 6 - 12 students, staff and visitors
Mix and match single items from the buffet and pay for just the single items you choose
With this plan you cannot have seconds
Dietary requirements are NOT available

Daily Set Lunch Menu

Likened to a set business lunch, this option can be paid for yearly, monthly or on the day.

This is the fixed / set meal for Grade 2 - Grade 12 students, staff and visitors.
Includes meat, salad or vegetables, bread, soup or fruit and water.
This is a fixed menu and there is no possibility of changing any items
Dietary requirements are available

EC Lunch Menu

This menu can be paid for yearly, monthly or on the day.

This is a fixed / set meal for young students who are being served at their table
Parents will pre-select the main dish (Thursday of the week prior, for our planning).
Dietary requirements are available

Kindergarten / Grade 1 Lunch Menu

This menu can be paid for yearly, monthly or on the day.

This is a fixed / set meal for students who are being served at their table

Opening Hours

Health and Well-Being

PSI employs a full time medical doctor and medical assistant as well as numerous other staff members also trained in first aid. The School Clinic is equipped to provide assistance with basic first aid and emergency care, distribution of medicines with parental permission, and student health advice during the school day. In addition, we provide first aid support during school-sponsored sporting events. All classrooms at PSI are provided with air conditioners for summer weather and are well-insulated and heated for winter extremes. The school places a high priority on cleanliness, with thorough daily cleaning routines.

School Bus Service

PSI contracts with a private transport company to provide bus transportation for students at the beginning and end of the school day, including bus service after extracurricular activities. Buses are also available for students to use during the school day for educational visits and school-sponsored sporting events. If you are interested in our bus service, this option is available in the online application.

Safety and Security

PSI seeks to provide the safest environment for students, parents and staff. Security guards are on site monitoring the campus twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. At the front gate, a security turnstile system based on RFID badges is in place and all people accessing our campus are cleared through on-screen photo displays or are issued temporary visitor security passes.

PHE Unifrom

The PSI PHE uniform supplier is the Italian company Errea.

Errea was selected by PSI due to its:

high quality workmanship, according to sport requirements i.e., detailed size chart, patented sports fabric, tailoring ~neck size and product length / width.

‘breathable’, high quality fabrics
OEKO-TEX® certification which guarantees that the fabrics used are extremely safe

The free kit provided by PSI will include:

One pair of sweatpants in navy
One House team t-shirt (colour as per team: white/red/yellow/blue)
