10 Important Reminders for PSI Parents

Please note that additional information on each point can be found in our Back to School Guide.

  1. Screening begins at home: If the answer to either of the following questions is yes, a family must inform the school and the student must stay at home:

  • Have you, or anyone in your household, experienced any cold / flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days; including temperature above 37.2 C, persistent dry cough, shortness of breath, respiratory distress, and / or loss of smell / taste?

  • Have you had close contact, over 15 mins and within 1.5 metres, with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days?

  1. Masks: Everyone will be expected to have a ‘Home / Travel Mask’ and ‘School Masks’ to wear while on campus - in and outdoors. For full guidance, see page 12.

  1. Access to campus: Familiarize yourself with the color-coded cards that you must always use upon your entrance to campus. See page 16.

  1. Cohorts: Every child is assigned to a yellow or blue cohort. Onsite learners are organized into learning group cohorts of between 6-12 students. Please be sure you are familiar with this assignment and related information. Page 8

  2. Schedule: Currently we are operating in a blended mode with a modified schedule. As such, EC3 - Grade 1 and Grades 11-12 are on campus everyday. Grades 2-10 come to campus 2.5 days each week, based on their cohort (page 26).

  3. Dual Delivery: This is a temporary solution for students who cannot attend classes on site (page 28).

  4. Visitors to Campus: No parents or visitors are currently allowed on campus without specific, written permission from the school director (page 45).

  5. Food & Drink: PYP students will eat lunch in their homeroom classes; MYP & DP students will use the cafeteria and the ‘We Belong Cafe’ for lunch and breaks (page 49).

  6. Communication: Every Friday parents will receive a learning update regarding their child/-ren from their homeroom teacher / advisor (there will no longer be Monday communications). Important school news will be sent in the ‘Weekly Digest’ on Fridays as well (there will no longer be Monday communications).

  7. Responsibility: Families must notify the school regarding positive cases or contact with confirmed Covid-19 cases: doctor@psi.kiev.ua
